Loch Lomond and the Trossachs Misty Forest Elopement
If you’re looking for an atmospheric loch-side wedding then look no further for your Loch Lomond and the Trossachs elopement. Atmospheric woodlands, winding forest tracks and misty hills, the Trossachs has it all.
Loch Drunkie, Three Lochs Drive
Anna-Rose and Graham stumbled across the stunning Loch Drunkie on Three Lochs Drive and were awe-struck by the beautiful location. The whole experience of walking through the magical moss covered forest floor, opening out to the majestic Loch, surrounded by the epic Trossachs hills, is truly incredible.
The 7 mile long Three Lochs Forest Drive takes you past three picturesque lochs. Lochan Reòidhte, Loch Drunkie and Loch Achray. Aside from the epic scenery you can hear the woodland birds, wind blowing through the forest and the rustle of red squirrels climbing in the trees.
Why not book a small wedding venue in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs instead?
In Scotland you can get married anywhere you like! so why not take advantage by having your intimate elopement outside amongst the epic Scottish landscape? It rained quite heavily on the day but wasn’t a problem with their small portable gazebo. Rain can often make the scenery even more atmospheric too, that is what makes Scotland so lush and beautiful afterall.
Booking a wedding venue means you can often be tied to timings, formalities and can be costly. There are so many places you can get married outside in the amongst the amazing scenery that Scotland has to offer and often it’s completely free (aside from the cost of your celebrant/registrar). It also means you can be right where you need to be for your couple portraits, you can even take food to have a picnic afterwards. What could be better than champagne and nibbles by the loch with your love after a relaxed wedding ceremony, sounds amazing to me!
There are of course some amazing venues for a small wedding or elopement in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs national park. One of those is the incredible Monachyle Mhor in Balquhidder. Click here to see Katie and Steven’s Monachyle Mhor winter elopement
Anna-Rose and Graham opted to cover just the ceremony and couple shoot for their elopement, but we still had plenty of time for their couple portraits in the epic scenery. Having a small elopement means that you can spend longer on your couple session, we can take our time and make the pictures as relaxed and memorable as possible. These are images that don’t just look wonderful but take you right back to that moment.
Such a beautiful, intimate elopement. What an honour to be there to document this wonderful adventure, congratulations Anna-Rose and Graham!
