Happy New Year! and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too, I had a lovely relaxing time with my Family and feeling refreshed and ready for a new year.

I won’t lie, this post has taken me a while, just how can you summarise such an amazing year? One thing is for certain I had a blast.

2013 has been about having the confidence to believe in myself and take every opportunity with glorious positivity, not just professionally but personally too. This has proved to be a pretty good strategy judging by the incredible people I’ve met, places I’ve been and what I’ve achieved. It really is the people that make it, and without all the incredible love and support I’ve received from everyone I’ve met along the way, I certainly wouldn’t be writing this with such a smile of my face. When you open yourself up to new experiences and believe you can do it, it’s amazing what you can achieve and I believe I have become a better person as a result, and for that I cannot be more thankful.

What an amazing job I have to witness so much love and happiness, to see people at their very best and record these memories to relive 🙂 24 Weddings, and a further 26 2nd Shooting with friends, 20 Engagement Shoots, 10 Family Portrait Shoots, 6 Corporate Shoots, and 5 Photo Club Shoots. Never in my wildest dreams would I have envisaged this for my first full time year as a photographer. Not only that, my photography has taken me to some amazing places, I’ve travelled to Spain, Paris, New York, New Jersey and over Scotland and England on unforgettable adventures. Thank you to wedding blogs Love My Dress Boho Weddings Rock My Wedding and We Fell In Love for featuring my work and Photography Farm for awarding me image of the week #18 #27 (twice!). The Photography Farm & ever growing community of ‘farmers’ has provided me with such incredible support and friendship, and I would like to say a special thanks to Lisa Devlin for creating such a wonderful community and continuing to motivate and inspire. My good friend Zoe made a special blog post about 2013 being the year of friendship, and she couldn’t be more right. I have an amazing group of friends online, we chat every day and have supported each other throughout the year, more importantly they are not all virtual, because of these connections I’ve met so many wonderful people and made new connections all over the world. My friendships haven’t stopped there, there have been so many amazing people I’ve photographed this year and delighted to call my friends and I have to say a very special thanks to each and every one of you, without you all I wouldn’t have the wonderful job i do and I’m forever thankful.

Highlights of my year as well as all the incredible weddings, Farm Week at Photography Farm where I met loads of amazing people including the mega inspiring Brooke Davis. 2nd Shooting with my wicked friends, Zoe, Neil, Jen, Julie, Nikki, Lindsey & Marieke I had such fun! Watching and photographing my good friend Neil marrying his wonderful wife Jen alongside Sassy from Assasynation. Being photographed with my beautiful daughter by Lisa Devlin. 24 hrs in Paris Assisting the incredibly romantic vow renewal of Ray and Sarah with Sassy. My Spanish adventure with my daughter and photographing Laura and Nick’s wedding near Jerez in Spain. Completing the Edinburgh 1/2 Marathon with my brothers 😀 Travelling to Birmingham road trip styleee with Zoe, Neil and Nikki for the Folio Albums Final Fling.  Where I met many, many amazing people, too many to mention including the incredible Lucky (Lakshal Perera) and laughed non stop for 2 days.  Nieve’s 3rd birthday, travelling to the Isle of Mull for Sarah and Neil’s Wedding on the beach.  Jetting off solo to New York City for a week for Sarah and Ewan’s Wedding such an amazing adventure!! my 30th Birthday party at West Brewery, what a treat! and so humbling so many wonderful friends came to party with me 🙂 skipping off back to New Jersey & NYC to stay with a friend and collect a few more along the way – including meeting and being photographed by the lovely Luis Goninez & Jackie, thank you Chris 🙂  Of course none of this would have been possible without my wonderful family, who deserve the most thanks for their ongoing support particularly my wonderful mum for taking care of my daughter Nieve, you’re both my rocks.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone of you for making my dream a reality. Here is my year in pictures 🙂
