Lindores Abbey Distillery – Historical Ruins and Modern Architecture
Nestled in Newburgh in kingdom of Fife sits the ruins of an abbey steeped in history. It’s an incredible place and the history really is fascinating! You can read all about it over on their website. The stunning Lindores Abbey Distillery is built opposite the ruins in what was previously the farm steadings. Opened in 2017 it’s a very new, sleek building with stunning architecture and truly beautiful place for a wedding.
Amanda and Tim held their beautiful outdoor ceremony in the ruins of the Abbey. A (very) short walk from the Distillery and wonderful contrast to the to the modern architecture. The historical site of the Abbey has an incredible etherial feel and a truly magical place for a wedding ceremony.

The Distillery building is an incredibly cool building with a sleek yet rustic modern design. Amanda and Tim held their meal in the Cloister area but you can also use the distillery or marquee in the abbey grounds for a larger wedding.
Handmade details
Amanda worked hard on the details crafting all the flowers herself along with venue details. She pulled together the theme with the use of teal colours throughout and treasures from Just Vintage Hire. It all worked very well together, Amanda has such a talent! She also made her stunning cape!
